Minor

Requirements

For the history minor, you must complete five history courses with the following restrictions:

You must earn a letter grade of "C-" or better (no S/N grades)
You must include work in at least two different cultural/geographic areas
At least 14 credits must be at the 3xxx, 4xxx, or 5xxx level (usually it is easiest to take all five courses at the upper-division level).
Transfer students must take at least three of the five courses at the University of Minnesota.
At most two foreign study courses may count towards the minor.
If you are using history courses to satisfy requirements in another major or minor, you can apply only two such courses toward a history minor.
