PANEL ROUNDTABLE or INDIVIDUAL PAPER PROPOSAL

We welcome all submissions of papers, but are particularly interested in highlighting themes such as media, performance, language, local communities, and new approaches to the study of Asia.  Send three copies of this form to: MCAA 53^rd Annual Meeting, Department of Asian Languages and Literatures, 453 Folwell Hall, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN 55455.  Proposals are due June 1, 2004.  Persons presenting papers at meetings must be members of the MCAA. The membership fee can be paid at the time of registration.  A one-page abstract is required of each panel participant.  Each paper proposer must provide the panel organizer with an abstract of his/her paper.  In addition, the panel or roundtable organizers must provide a brief outline (no longer than one page) of the issues to be addressed by the panel or roundtable.
