2. After reading pp. 117-126, compare and contrast the eighteenth-century rebellions and the later movements for independence. (For example who participated and what were their goals?)
3. By the end of the article, you should be able to restate Andrews' main thesis in a few sentences; then, critically evaluate his argument. For example: How does he define "revolutionary"? What evidence does he provide? Are you convinced or do you have a different interpretation?
