Graduate Students Achievements

We are proud of the achievements of students who have completed their studies with us. History graduate students have been very successful in competing for University and national awards. For example, every year several of our students are awarded Graduate School fellowships as beginning students and dissertation fellowships for the last stage of their programs.

In recent years, students have also won Rockefeller Fellowships, Fulbrights, Social Science Research Council grants, DAAD grants, and others.

Recent graduates have also won dissertation prizes. For example, Jennifer Guglielmo was awarded the Lerner-Scott Prize for 2004 by the Organization of American Historians for the best dissertation in U.S. Women's History, for her work on Italian-American women.
