Gender and Politics in the Transatlantic World
During the fall semester, Workshop participants will explore the intersection of gender and politics in the Western world from ancient times through the "age of revolution" in the late eighteenth-century. In the spring, we will look at the transformation of gender relations during moments of political upheaval between 1789 and 1989.
Papers are pre-circulated (unless otherwise noted) and can be obtained a week in advance in the History Department's photocopy room (Social Science Tower 636). The workshop convenes in the Ford Room (710 Social Science Tower) from 3:30-5:00 pm (please note exceptions). Light refreshments are served.
